Note: alto rappresentante della famiglia ghibellina degli Uberti, Pier Asino partecipò attivamente alle dispute che la sua famiglia sostenne in appoggio alla dinastia sveva

 in Italia e ne pagò personalmente le conseguenze quando, fatto prigioniero nella battaglia di Benevento, venne prima rinchiuso nei castelli angioini della Provenza e poi, per punirne un tentativo di fuga, accecato e mutilato della mano destra e del piede sinistro. Nel 1267 Carlo d'Angiò ne ordinò la decapitazione, ma finì per fargli fracassare il cranio a colpi di mazza. L’araldica è quella della famiglia: Partito: nel 1° d'oro all'aquila di nero uscente dalla partizione; nel 2° scaccato d'oro e d'azzurro. Il figurino originale è stato leggermente modificato. Aveva infatti il mantello che è stato tolto con conseguente ricostruzione di parte della tunica anteriore. Anche lo scudo è stato sostituito ed ancorato alla sella.

Notes: high representative of the Uberti Family, Pier Asino took an active role in the fights his family incurred on the side of the House of Svevi in Italy up to pay corporal and heavy consequences. Taken prisoner during the battle of Benevento, he was immured in the Angevin castles of Provence and after an attempt to escape as punishment he was blinded, amputated of the right hand and left feet. In 1267 he was smashed his skull by heavy blow shots. The heraldry is the Uberti family blazon, a black eagle on gold field on the first side and gold/azul chessboard on the second side. The original figure was modified: the cloak has been cut and filed as was not worn during combat. The shield has been substituted with a smaller one and fixed to the saddle.
